BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday spoke of the need to put in place a clear-cut framework for China-U.S. relations amid the most complex situation since the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations in 1979.
"It's so bad for the U.S. side to decide to close our consulate in Houston. Based on the principle of reciprocity in diplomacy, we have to respond. But we certainly don't want to have all this from the very beginning. We certainly don't want to see any escalation," the Chinese ambassador said. Enditem

The survey also showed that 26 percent respondents believe that U.S. investment and business environment would decline at least moderately in the next two years, which is roughly in line with 33 percent in 2019 but much higher than 12 percent in 2018 and 5 percent in 2017.
